Dr. Boyce Callahan, Sr. is a life-long resident of Anniston, Alabama and has enjoyed taking care of patients in Anniston, Oxford, Jacksonville and surrounding areas for over 30 years. Dr. Callahan completed his Bachelors at Jacksonville State University, his Masters of Clinical Nutrition at Life Chiropractic College and his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College where he finished Summa Cum Laude. He went on to complete a fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and holds the FIAMA designation. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Alabama State Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association and stays active in learning the latest chiropractic news and research.
Chiropractic care became Dr. Callahan’s passion after after suffering a serious ankle injury while playing football at Jacksonville State University. Although scheduled for surgery to repair his ankle, he and his parents sought the advice and care of a local chiropractor who had at one time served as a team doctor for the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks. With chiropractic treatment, he was able to return to play within two weeks without surgery. Dr. Callahan knows firsthand that chiropractic care should be the first line of defense when dealing with illness and injury. He went on to have a successful football career at Jacksonville State University, including being named to the All American-Team twice. He has been inducted into the Jacksonville State University Sports Hall of Fame and the Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame.
